Renaissance Architecture
Florence, Founding City of the Renaissance Architecture
Filippo Brunelleschi, admired sculptor and inventor of the line perspective, was one of the first Renaissance architects.
He was responsable for the miracle of the construction of the dome of the Florentine Cathedral.
Brunelleschi's new concept of church architecture had an immense influence on the artists of his time, including the philosopher-architect Leon Battista Alberti– who called Brunelleschi 'the inventor of the new architecture'.
Walking through the city we will discover this revolutionary architecture and tell you all about it.
